Animal Production
This course is designed to provide an overview of the field of animal sciences and will present a broad spectrum of different topics exploring agriculture and agriscience. Topics will include the importance and development of animals, as well as general aspects of animal science such as animal classification, livestock/equine evaluation, animal nutrition, and animal health management. Specific emphasis will be placed on equine, sheep, swine, beef, dairy and poultry. Enrollment in an Ag class such as this one is part of the ‘total program, which involves classroom learning, FFA and a Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project.
